The Engineer Behind the Wrench
About Jared
Most mechanics learn their trade in a shop. Jared Melseth learned his through the lens of physics and electrical engineering, and that makes all the difference when it comes to diagnosing and repairing your vehicle.
With dual degrees from Louisiana Tech University in Electrical Engineering and Physics, Jared has always been driven by understanding how things work at a fundamental level. While his classmates were studying circuit theory and thermodynamics in the classroom, Jared was applying those same principles under the hood - teaching himself automotive repair as a hobby that quickly grew into a passion.
That passion eventually became Any Hour Mobile Mechanic, a business built on the idea that professional auto repair shouldn't require a shop visit, a tow truck, or a day off work. Jared brings the tools, the expertise, and the engineering mindset directly to your location, whether that's your driveway, your office parking lot, or the side of the road at midnight.
Every diagnosis starts the way an engineer would approach it: systematically, with the right tools, and with a commitment to finding the actual root cause instead of just clearing a code and hoping for the best. That's what "fixed right the first time" means.
Available 24/7 (as long as parts are accessible), Jared serves Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen, and the entire Collin County area with honest pricing, solid workmanship, and service you can count on. If you need a mobile mechanic in Plano, that page covers response times and the repairs we handle on-site there.
